BOONE, Iowa—Funeral arrangements have been set for 95-year old Maynard ‘Shorty’ Lind of Boone, Iowa and the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone, Iowa.  A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the Marion Street United Methodist Church, Boone, Iowa.  Following his wishes, his body has been cremated.  Burial of his cremated remains will be held in the Rose Hill Cemetery west of Boone, Iowa at a later date.

Visitation will be held at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone, Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  The family will be present and will receive friends at the Memorial Chapel from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Visitation Friday will be held at the Marion Street United Methodist Church from 9:30 AM the time of the Memorial Service at 10:30 AM.

In memory of Shorty, memorials may be directed to the Marion Street United Methodist Church.
