Windchill Advisory Issued Tonight to Wednesday Morning

DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service has issued another Windchill Advisory for all of Iowa from midnight tonight until Wednesday morning.  The announcement was made Tuesday afternoon.

...Bitter Cold Again Tonight into Wednesday...

.The combination of low temperatures tonight ranging from 5 to 15
below zero and west to northwest winds of 5 to 10 mph will produce
wind chill values of 15 to near 30 below zero at times by
Wednesday morning.

...WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 10 AM
CST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills expected. The cold wind chills will
  cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin.
  Expect wind chills to range from 15 below zero to near 30 below
  zero.

* WHERE...All of Iowa.

* WHEN...Midnight to 10 AM Wednesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will
combine to create low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can
occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.

Windchill Advisory covers all of Iowa.
