Posted on 15 September 2017 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Board of Supervisors canvassed the 2017 School Election results Friday and there were a couple of minor changes with the final totals, but there was no change in the final results.  Because there were no changes in number for the Madrid School Board race, a tie had to be broken by lot.  Voters in the Madrid School District gave Allie Antonovich 178 votes this week.  Chelcie Badgley and Kurt Matthewson each received 175 votes.  The Chairman of the Board of Supervisors then drew a name to fill the second seat available and that went to Chelcie Badgley.

For Boone, Brian Mehlhaus picked up a couple of extra votes and ended up with 500.  Jeremy Pritchard ended up 457 votes.  Other final numbers were 311 votes for April Burch, 285 votes for Marti Melton-Streeter.  Linda Williamson had 167 votes and Daniel Wojcik had 90.

At United, there were no changes, as Brenda Stanley won the Second District Board Seat over Ron Miller, 129-to-41.  Lora Weyhrich defeated Kristin Zehner 117-to-57.

There were also no changes in the Ogden School District results with Pete Bergstrom and Camille Sloan Schroeder receiving 52 and 40 votes respectively.
