BOONE, Iowa—The 26th Iowa Municipal Band Festival drew crowds all day long to the Herman Park Pavilion in Boone.  Bands began performing at 11:00 AM with the Liberty Band from Marion, a first time participant.  Another first time group, the Guttenberg German Band performed at 1:00 PM.  The festival featured two out of state bands, the Zumbrota Municipal Band from Minnesota and the 1st Nebraska Band from Blair, Nebraska.  Only two bands have performed at all 26 festivals, the Ames Municipal Band and the host Boone Municipal Band.

The Boone Dixieland Band entertains in the food court area while the Pavilion stage is reset for the next hourly band.
