Final HIRTA Meeting this Wednesday

Posted on 20 June 2017 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The Heart of Iowa Regional Transportation Agency (HIRTA) will conduct a third public meeting Wednesday to gather input and answer questions about the change in transportation services in Boone County.  The HIRTA Board voted not to renew the contract for service with Boone County Transportation effective the end of June.  So far, two meetings have been held, both at the Boone County Hospital in the 4th floor meeting room.  The final meeting will be held Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.  Julia Castillo, HIRTA Public Transit Executive Director said on KWBG earlier this month that they are looking for input from residents that use the service or may plan on using the service.  She had said the more information they collect the better they will be able to meet the needs in Boone County.  Those that need a ride to the meeting are invited to call 1-877-686-0029 to make arrangements.
