City Council to Hear Presentation on Ambulance Service

Posted on 19 June 2017 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone City Council and Mayor John Slight will hear a formal presentation by city staff about the possibility of creating and operating an ambulance service within the city when the Council meets Monday evening.  City staff has been working on the details of a proposal and will make the formal presentation at the beginning of the Council meeting.  The possibility of creating the service has been in the works for several months, but only recently came to the public’s attention after talks between city staff and staff from the Boone County Hospital were unable to put together a working arrangement.

Over the past couple of years, staff recommendations usually weigh the pros and cons for council consideration and also usually contain a choice of options with a staff recommendation for one of those options.

The Boone City Council meeting will begin at 7:00 PM at the Boone City Hall.
