After starting its season in Missouri and Oklahoma, the Des Moines Area Community College baseball team hosted a doubleheader against Central Lakes College of Brainerd, Minnesota, on Saturday. In the opener, righthander Parker Sanburn picked up his second win, striking out eight of the eleven batters he faced in the first three innings as DMACC rolled the Raiders, 14 – 0, in a five-inning game. In the nightcap, left-fielder Chris Witzke scored two runs and drove in another with three hits, two of them doubles, and the Bears blanked Central Lakes in a second shortened contest, 10 – 0.
