Tornado Watch in Effect for Most of Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for much of Iowa.  The watch is in effect until 10:00 PM Monday evening.  Thunderstorms will become likely by late afternoon and will move very quickly to the northeast.  There is a slight risk of severe storms with the main threat from damaging winds.  Large hail is also possible along with an isolated tornado.  The threat of severe weather will end later this evening.
