VILLANOVA, Pa. (AP) — Kelan Martin scored 22 points and fueled a stunning second-half rally to lead No. 22 Butler past No. 2 Villanova 74-66. That ends the Wildcats’ on-campus home winning streak at 48 games. This is the first time Villanova star Josh Hart and fellow seniors Kris Jenkins and Darryl Reynolds lost a game at the Pavilion in their four-year careers.

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Frank Mason III scored 20 points, Carlton Bragg provided a lift off the bench with 15 and third-ranked Kansas beat TCU 87-68 to clinch a share of its 13th consecutive Big 12 championship. Devonte Graham added 17 points and seven assists for Coach Bill Self’s Jayhawks, who are 25-3.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — John Gillon canned a 3-pointer from the top of the key at the buzzer and Syracuse upset No. 10 Duke 78-75 as the Orange kept alive their postseason hopes. Syracuse ended a three-game losing streak and is 17-12 overall and 9-7 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

NEW YORK (AP) — In an effort to speed up play, Major League Baseball is eliminating the four-pitch intentional walk and instead will just go by a hand signal to send a would-be batter to first base. There were 932 intentional walks last year, including 600 in the National League, where batters were walked to bring the pitcher’s slot to the plate.

BOSTON (AP) — New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick (BEHL’-ih-chik) has been added to a list of people who could be called to testify at the double murder trial of former Pats tight end Aaron Hernandez. Hernandez has pleaded not guilty after charged with the drive-by slayings of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado in Boston in 2012. Prosecutors say Hernandez shot them after one spilled a drink on him at a club.
