UNDATED (AP) — The Kings and Pelicans have completed a deal that sends DeMarcus Cousins and Omri Casspi to New Orleans. Sacramento receives Tyreke (TY’-reek) Evans, rookie Buddy Hield (heeld), Langston Galloway and first- and second-round draft picks this summer. Cousins is averaging 27.8 points and 10.6 rebounds this season and is signed through July 1, 2018.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars have released veteran defensive lineman Jared Odrick in a move that saves $8.5 million against the salary cap. Odrick was due a $2 million roster bonus and would have had $3.5 million of his $6.5 million salary for 2017 guaranteed had he still been on the roster March 13. He appeared in 22 games over two seasons with the Jags, missing most of last year because of a shoulder injury.

ST. ANDREWS, Scotland (AP) — The Royal & Ancient has awarded the 2020 British Open to Royal St. George’s for the first time since 2011, when Darren Clarke captured the claret jug. It will be the 15th time the course in southeast England will host what has become the third major of the year. Royal Birkdale is the site of this year’s British Open, followed by Carnoustie and Royal Portrush.
NEW YORK (AP) — Winnipeg Jets defenseman Jacob Trouba (TROO’-buh) has received a two-game suspension from the NHL for an illegal check to the head of Senators forward Mark Stone during Sunday’s game in Ottawa. Stone missed the remainder of the game following the hit with about 13 1/2 minutes left. Trouba was assessed a minor penalty and will sit out games tonight in Toronto and Feb. 28 against Minnesota.
