Carroll Woman Dies From Injuries In Boone County Accident

BOONE, Iowa—Boone County authorities say weather was a factor in a fatal accident in Boone County Friday morning.  Chief Deputy Rick Lampe reported that an east bound vehicle, operated by Shakella William-Adams of Carroll, Iowa, went out of control on the snow and slush covered road and crossed the center line, sliding into the path of a west bound pickup, operated by Matthew Boss of Webster City, Iowa.  William-Adams was pronounced dead at the scene.  Boss received treatment for minor injuries.  The investigation by the Boone County Sheriff’s Department is continuing.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department received assistance from several agencies including the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, the Ogden Police Department, the Ogden Fire Department, Boone County Ambulance and Boone County Emergency Management.  Road conditions at the time of the accident were considered 100% covered by snow and ice.
