General Election Results Finalized

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Board of Supervisors met and finalized the results of the 2016 General Election for Boone County voters.  There were no changes in the results, but some adjustments in the actual final tallies.  The closest race was for Boone County Supervisor.  The official winners will be Republicans Chad Behn with 6,501 votes and Bill Zinnel with 5,999.  Close behind Zinnel was Democrat Greg Piklapp with 5,985 votes.  Incumbent Tom Foster had 5,819 votes.  On election night, 16-votes separated Zinnel and Piklapp and that narrowed to 14 after absentee and provisional votes were counted on Monday.
