Boone PD Holds First Outreach Program for 2016

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone Police Department held its first community outreach program of this year. This outreach program took place April 3 and was a Safety Awareness Class. The course consisted of 9 DMACC female athletes. The course topics included On Campus Safety, Safety in Schools and Public, and Self Awareness and Protection. There was a lecture portion followed by a physical course where defensive tactics and techniques were taught.

Thanks to the Fitness factory for allowing us to use their facility.

The Boone Police Department wants to express its thanks to the citizens of Boone for the support they have shown us through the years and hope that more citizens will become involved in our various outreach programs.
