MacKay Named Executive Director for BCHS

BOONE, Iowa—The Board of Directors for the Boone County Historical Society has announced that Mara MacKay of Frankfort, Michigan will be the new Executive Director for the Society.  MacKay comes to Boone from Michigan where she was the Manager of the Pointe Betsie Lighthouse, a seasonal, historical attraction on the northeast shore of Lake Michigan.

MacKay has authored various historic articles and books and was involved with the development of the History Prize in Michigan program.

MacKay and her two children, 17-year old Saige and 14-year old Aiden will be making their home in central Iowa.
