Boone, IA – When the Farm Progress Show originally opened at its permanent Iowa location in 2008, the Central Iowa Expo site was designed to accommodate the largest show exhibits area that had been used at recent farm shows. In 2012, another street was added to fulfill the exhibitors request for additional space.
The 2014 Farm Progress Show required even more exhibit space than was needed previously. An annex has been created in the north visitor parking lot, immediately outside of Gate #1 to accommodate this demand. With an addition of a new Annex Space, the show site e is now 3.68 million square feet of exhibit space…nearly 85 acres. Since the Farm Progress Show’s initial show in 2008, the exhibitor count has grown by more than 100, which for the 2014 show now totals more than 600 exhibitors. In addition to the 85 acres for exhibitors, the show occupies 300 acres for field demonstrations and test drives, plus an additional 150 acres for visitor parking.
The 2014 Farm Progress Show runs Tuesday, August 26 through Thursday, August 28 at the Central Iowa Expo site, just east of Boone.
