BOONE, Iowa—Boone officials report that the Union Pacific Railroad has scheduled work on the crossing at Story Street in Boone on Friday, August 1st. Boone Police Chief Bill Skare has said that work is expected to be done between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Skare says residents should plan their commute accordingly. Signage will be installed on Story Street, both north and south of the crossing, detouring traffic to the Greene Street crossing. Residents are also expected to use the Linn/Benton Street underpass. At this time, all work is expected to be completed before 5:00 PM Friday.
