BOONE, Iowa—Clean up at the Ledges State Park south of Boone, has allowed the Canyon Drive road to be re-opened. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources’ State Parks staff from around central Iowa came to Boone Tuesday to work at clearing debris and cleaning roadways through the Ledges State Park. Andy Bartlett, Park Manager at the Ledges, said the Canyon Drive had been closed since mid-June due to flooding. Bartlett said clean-up was easier than clean-up following flooding in 2008 and also in 2010 when damage was much more significant. The Canyon Drive was re-opened to traffic following clean-up.
