Posted on 22 July 2014 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The 2014 Farm Progress Show comes to central Iowa on August 26th, 27th and 28th.  The show regularly draws over 150,000 visitors from around the country and across the globe every other year to see the latest in farm equipment, processes and best practices.  Show Director, Matt Jungmann says that the Farm Progress Show “has a tradition of working with local service groups, churches and charitable organizations to staff may of the important roles and functions” necessary to run one of the world’s largest farm expositions.

In working with the FPS during the show, these non-profit groups have a unique chance to raise substantial money for their cause by assisting with parking, gate admissions, and food service.  Groups interested in fundraising through volunteer work at the 2014 Farm Progress Show should call Volunteer Coordinator Janet Schultz at 515.230.0977 or email her at mzengr2020@msn.com.   The Farm Progress Show is held at the Central Iowa Expo, located four miles east of Boone, Iowa at the intersection of US Highway 30 and Highway 17.
