High Wind Causes Damage Overnight in Boone

BOONE, Iowa—The peak wind gust at the Boone Municipal Airport Monday night was 63 mph shortly after 11:30 PM.  That’s when emergency responders received multiple calls of damage in the community.  This tree in the 1100 Block of 3rd Street was one of the victims.  The Boone Fire Department answered the call to make sure there was no fire danger or injuries.
