Trueblood Seeks Nomination

OGDEN, Iowa—Mark Trueblood, a native of Boone County and a long time Ogden resident, has formally announced that he is a candidate for the Iowa House of Representatives District 47 which includes Boone and Greene Counties.  Trueblood said, “I am running for the House of Representatives because I would like to try and make a difference for Iowans. ”  He said, “Public service has always been a passion of mine, and the time is right for me to give back to the community.”

Trueblood worked for the Iowa Department of Transportation for 28 years and currently works for Martin Marietta Materials Company.  He has served on the Ogden City Council for 8 years and Ogden Mayor for 10 years.  Trueblood is currently the Chairman of the Boone County Conservation Board.

Trueblood filed his papers to be on the Democratic ballot two weeks ago.  He will be on the ballot with Hans Erickson of Boone who filed on March 10th.  The winner will be on the General Election Ballot against Republican Representative Chip Baltimore.
