BOONE, Iowa—Rick Bengtson, Boone County Cattlemen’s Association president, announced that the 2014 Cattlemen’s Banquet will be held on Tuesday, March 11, at Shenanigan’s in Boone. The social hour will begin at 6:00 pm, followed by dinner at 6:30 pm. The menu will feature a rib-eye steak dinner with salad, potato and beverage included. In addition to recognizing the past year’s accomplishments and hosting the annual trophy auction, board members will be elected.
Bengtson encouraged everyone to recognize beef production in Boone County by supporting our local producers and extended an invitation to all to attend this year’s banquet. Bengtson stated, “Show your support of the local beef producers by attending this year’s 2014 Boone County Cattlemen’s Banquet. For a good meal and a fun time, come on out to Shenanigan’s on the 11th of March.” In case of inclement weather, the banquet will be postponed until March 13th at the same time, same place.
Tickets are $12 each and may be purchased from directors of the Boone County Cattlemen’s Association. They are: Jim Anderson, Jeff Erb, Kriss Haglund, Dave Hein, Dave Patrick, Boone; Rick Bengtson, Boxholm; Bob Nelson, Dayton; Greg Savits and Jeff Paulson, Ogden; and Scott Grubbs, Perry. Tickets may also be purchased at the Boone County ISU Extension Office located at 603 Story Street in Boone or at the door.
