Veteran Board Members Step Down

Posted on 03 March 2014 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Hospital Board of Trustees will have two new board members when they meet later this month.  Long time veterans of the Board, Pat Henkel and Maxine Redeker have decided to step down from positions that they have held for more than 20 years.  Henkel join the board in the late 1980’s and recalled at last week’s meeting that they were down to three days cash on hand.  Maxine Redeker joined the board in the early 1990’s just as votes were being taken to contract with Quorum Health Resources for management services at the Boone County Hospital.  Both have served in various capacities on the board during their tenure.  Both had decided late last year that they would be resigning from the board.  Pat Henkel was re-elected to the Hospital Board of Trustees in November 2010 and Maxine Redeker was re-elected in November 2012.
