Ogden School Threat

Posted on 28 February 2014 by KWBG

OGDEN, Iowa—The Ogden School District evacuated the Ogden High School Friday afternoon after receiving a bomb threat.  In a statement from Ogden Superintendent Brad Jermeland, in accordance with school board policy, bomb threat evacuation procedures were followed.  A sweep of the building was conducted and that sweep did not result in finding any bomb or anything else out of the ordinary throughout the building.  Jermeland says the “All Clear” was declared at 3:15 PM and all students and staff returned to the building prior to dismissal to gather their belongings.

Jermeland says the district appreciates the support of local law enforcement as they ensured the building was safe for students and staff.  The investigation into the source of the threat is continuing.
