Lions Host Pancake Days

Posted on 23 January 2014 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The forecast calls for a warm up Friday and it’s not related to the Boone Lions Club griddles used for Pancake Days.  But, warmer temperatures will certainly get more people out to the Boone County Fairgrounds for the annual event.  The only wrinkle will be the possibility of some precipitation Friday afternoon and evening.

The Lions Club has hosted Pancake Days for many years and it continues to be one of the most popular fund raising events.  The Lions always direct a certain amount of their proceeds for sight and hearing projects and this year is not different.  But, they also support a number of other activities as well.  Tickets for the Friday and Saturday event have been on sale but will also be available at the door for $6.  Serving is Friday from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday from 7:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
