ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Joakim (JOH’-kihm) Noah had a season-high 26 points, Carlos Boozer scored 23, and the Chicago Bulls held on to beat the Orlando Magic 128-125 in triple-overtime. That’s the Magic’s ninth-straight loss despite a career-high 35 points from rookie Victor Oladipo (OH’-luh-dee-poh).

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings say Mike Zimmer, most recently defensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals, is their new coach. Zimmer becomes the team’s ninth head coach in the franchise’s 54-year history. He replaces Leslie Frazier, who was fired after the team went 5-10-1 and missed the playoffs.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP)— The Denver Broncos might start Champ Bailey, the aging 12-time Pro Bowler who played in just five games this season, at cornerback in the wake of the season-ending injury to starter Chris Harris Jr. Harris is among five defensive starters to land on injured reserve for the 14-3 Broncos, who host the 13-4 New England Patriots Sunday for the AFC title.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin did not practice yesterday after suffering a concussion in the NFC divisional playoff game. Seattle coach Pete Carroll said Harvin was meeting with doctors, who will determine his availability for Sunday’s NFC championship against San Francisco.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A person familiar with the decision says Charlie Manuel has agreed to return to the Philadelphia Phillies, accepting a position offered to him the day he was fired as manager. The 70-year-old Manuel will be a senior adviser to Phils GM Ruben Amaro Jr.
