TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida State quarterback Jameis (JAYM’-ihs) Winston has been cleared of any wrong doing in the case of the woman who alleged he had raped her in Dec. 2012. State Attorney Willie Meggs said at a news conference in Tallahassee that there was not enough evidence to win a conviction. Winston leads the nation’s top-ranked team against Duke in the ACC championship game tomorrow.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Duke’s David Cutcliffe has been selected coach of the year by the Walter Camp Football Foundation. Cutcliffe has led the 20th-ranked Blue Devils to a school-record 10 victories and their first appearance in the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game.

UNDATED (AP) — Carlos Boozer finished with a game-high 27 points and Luol Deng (LOO’-ul dehng) added 20 as the Chicago Bulls handed the Miami Heat their second straight loss, 107-87. Reserves Darren Collison and Jamal Crawford scored 15 points each as the Los Angeles Clippers clobbered the Grizzlies 101-81 in Memphis. Carmelo Anthony had 19 points and the Knicks ended a nine-game losing streak by embarrassing the Nets 113-83 in Brooklyn.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Pittsburgh Penguins have widened their lead in the NHL’s Eastern Conference by knocking off one of the top teams in the West. Chris Kunitz had a pair of goals while the Pens were putting together a four-goal second period in a 5-1 rout of San Jose. Sidney Crosby increased his league-high point total to 42 with three assists that helped the Penguins earn their fifth straight win.

UNDATED (AP) — A person with direct knowledge of the negotiations says free-agent reliever Brian Wilson has agreed to terms on a $10 million, one-year contract to stay with the Los Angeles Dodgers, a deal that is pending a physical. A person familiar with the deal tells The Associated Press that the Boston Red Sox have agreed with reliever Edward Mujica (moo-HEE’-kuh) on a two-year deal. And the Kansas City Royals have acquired outfielder Norichika Aoki (nohr-ih-CHEE’-kuh ah-OH’-kee) from Milwaukee for lefty pitcher Will Smith.
