DES MOINES, Iowa—A Boone man said he recently checked several Powerball tickets from past drawings at a local convenience store and discovered he had won a $10,000 lottery prize.  Ray Crocheck says he just buys the tickets, sticks them in his billfold and every once in a while he gets them checked.  He said “I was pretty surprised when it said $10,000 that’s for sure.”

Crocheck matched four white ball and the Powerball in the November 20th drawing to win a $10,000 lottery prize.  He claimed his prize November 27th at the Iowa Lottery’s Headquarters in Des Moines.  The winning numbers in the $40 million Powerball jackpot drawing on November 20th were 4-18-23-32-45 and the Powerball 7.  The jackpot has grown to an estimated $81 million for tonight’s drawing.

Crocheck purchased his winning ticket at Hy-Vee in Boone.
