Ogden 26, South Hamilton 23

Posted on 11 October 2013 by KWBG

The Ogden football team hosted South Hamilton Friday evening

and the Bulldogs beat the Hawks for the first time since 1995.

After a scoreless first quarter, Austin Lentz had a 5-yard touchdown run

on the first play of the second period, but South Hamilton converted

two Ogden turnovers – a blocked punt and a fumble – into two t-ds

and a 14 – 7 halftime lead.  The Bulldogs took the second-half kickoff downfield,

where Lentz scored again from the 5.  Caleb Frye then hit Luke West

with a 26-yard touchdown toss, a 1-yard t-d plunge by Kolton Christle

sealed the deal, and the Dawgs, now six-and-one, escaped with a 26 – 23 win.
