Madrid 32, Woodward Academy 14

Madrid High School handed Woodward Academy a homecoming loss Friday night.

The Tigers scored on their opening possession, capping a 95-yard drive

with a 2-yard touchdown dive by Collen Gibbons.  In the second quarter,

brother Owen Gibbons had an 83-yard t-d scamper giving Madrid

a 16 – 0 halftime lead.  Owen picked up his second touchdown

in the first minute of the second half, running it in from the 3.

Then Woodward Academy got on the board with 14 unanswered points

before Collen tied his brother with another rushing t-d,

this one from the 36, as the Tigers put the game away – their fourth win

against two losses – with a 32 – 14 victory.
