The Cincinnati Reds send out five-game winner Johnny Cueto (KWAY’-toh) against Pittsburgh’s 16-game winner Francisco Liriano (leer-ee-AH’-noh) with that winner advancing to play St. Louis in the NL division series.
UNDATED (AP)— The NHL season gets under way tonight with three games including the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks hosting the Washington Capitals. The Blackhawks beat the Boston Bruins in six games in June to win their second Stanley Cup title in four seasons.
