Two Injured in Motorcycle Deer Accident

BOONE, Iowa—A motorcycle/deer accident Wednesday evening, injured the operator and a passenger.  The Boone County Sheriff’s Department reportedly received the call about the accident at 8:15 PM on County Road E-26 near Leaf Road.  Investigating deputies report that Mark Blanshan was the driver of the motorcycle and Crystal Stansberry was the passenger.  Blanshan was traveling south on E-26 when the accident occurred.  Blanshan was airlifted to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines and Stansberry was taken to the Boone County Hospital.  Boone County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted by Ogden First Responders and the Boone County Ambulance.  The accident remains under investigation.  There was no updated information on the condition of Blanshan or Stansberry.
