Hollingshead Announces Withdrawal From School Board Election

Posted on 28 August 2013 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Supervisor Chet Hollingshead today announced that he is with drawing from the Ogden School Board election.  Hollingshead is one of three people on the ballot in the Ogden District.  Hollingshead and Camille Sloan-Schroeder are the incumbents and the third name on the ballot is that of Pete Bergstrom.  Hollingshead said his decision was made after the deadline to actually have his name removed from the ballot, so it will still be there, but he indicated he is with drawing from the school board race.  Hollingshead is completing his first term on the Ogden School Board.  Sloan-Schroeder finished fourth in the race two-years ago and was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Stan Friesen who passed away unexpectedly right before the election.  Last year he was elected to serve on the Boone County Board of Supervisors and is currently in the first year of a four-year term.
