MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota—Minnesota writers Marilyn Rausch and Mary Donlon will be visiting Boone Saturday with an appearance at the Booke Shoppe in downtown Boone.  The authors have created the Can Be Murder crime novels that originate in Boone County and then proceed to Minnesota locations.  Marilyn Rausch says a visit to Boone two years ago influenced the selection of the setting for the first novel and they re-visited Boone and it’s residents in the sequel.  The novels use a novel in novel format which allows the two writers with two different styles to write one novel according the Mary Donlon.

The author event will be at the Book Shoppe, 817 Story Street, Saturday from 10:30 AM until Noon.  The authors will be signing books and refreshments will be served.  Additional information on the books can be found here.
