BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Plan and Zoning Commission will be discussing a number of topical issues during their meeting Monday evening. There are no action items for the Commission to consider, at least for recommendations for the Supervisors. There will be a discussion of a Commercial Wind farm Matrix, which will be a comparison of surrounding counties. Many have developed Commercial Wind Farms, while Boone County has none. There will also be a discussion about TA-1 blanker zoning strategies which would be using the Transitional Agriculture area for developing areas. Once again, there are no action items on the agenda but there could be extensive discussion for Commission members. Some of the issues are expected to allow the commission a chance to develop a strategy as various zoning requests come forward.
