Supervisors Hope to Fill Vacancies in Two Departments

Posted on 05 July 2013 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Board of Supervisors this week, decided they would seek applications to fill a couple of positions.  One, the Veteran’s Affairs Director position that was left vacant because of the fatal bicycle-car accident that claimed the life of Paul Ladd, Colonel USMC (Retired).  Ladd taken over the Director position a few years ago and worked at make sure Boone County Veterans received the benefits they had earned.  The county Veteran’s Affairs Commission has already been discussing the position with Board members.

The second position will be the Buildings and Grounds Director.  That position has been vacant since last winter.  Staff have continued to perform their duties, but the Supervisors felt filling the Director position would be more beneficial for facilities and staff.

It appears the Supervisors may push to fill the positions by the end of the summer, depending on the quantity and quality of applicants.
