BOONE, Iowa—State Representative Chip Baltimore noted late last week that several bills passed during the 2013 legislative session will be in effect today. There is actually a much longer list, but he noted a couple of the bigger ones School Employee Background Checks; Beginning Farmer Tax Credit; Aquatic Invasive Species and others. One that many will notice over time will be the online driver’s license renewal and for a longer period of time. The Property Tax Reform package is in effect and that took place as soon as the bill was signed by the Governor. Baltimore says he’s looking forward to spending the summer and fall getting feed back on the new laws and others that didn’t become in preparation for the next legislative session.
