CHICAGO (AP) – Andrew Shaw scored on a deflection at 12:08 of triple-overtime to complete the Chicago Blackhawks’ comeback in a 4-3 win over Boston in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals. The Bruins led 3-1 until Dave Bolland and Johnny Oduya (oh-DOO’-yuh) scored in the third period. Corey Crawford turned back 51 shots in the fifth-longest Stanley Cup finals game ever.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) – The San Antonio Spurs aren’t sure they’ll have Tony Parker available when they host the Miami Heat in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Parker has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 strain of his right hamstring after being injured early in the second half of Tuesday’s blowout win over the Heat. Coach Gregg Popovich says he wants to wait until today before deciding Parker’s status for Game 4.

NEW YORK (AP) – Jason Kidd is back with the Nets, this time as head coach. Kidd retired earlier this month after one season with the New York Knicks, his 19th in the NBA. He spent 6 1/2 seasons with the Nets, averaging 14.6 points, 9.1 assists and 7.2 rebounds while leading them to the NBA Finals in 2002 and 2003.

BRIDGEPORT, N.J. (AP) – NASCAR driver Jason Leffler has died following an accident Wednesday night during a dirt car event at Bridgeport Speedway in New Jersey. The 37-year-old Leffler was a two-time winner on the Nationwide Series and finished last at Pocono over the weekend, his first Sprint Cup start of the year.

MONROE, La. (AP) – Five-time Pro Bowler Jason Peters of the Philadelphia Eagles has been arrested in north Louisiana for allegedly drag racing and trying to flee from police. The Monroe (La.) News-Star reports that Peters was released on bond Wednesday after his early morning arrest. An arrest affidavit obtained by the newspaper says an Ouachita (WAH’-shih-tah) Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy saw a white Camaro and a blue sedan in what appeared to be a race at 4:45 a.m.
