SAN ANTONIO (AP) – Tony Parker had 20 points and nine assists as the San Antonio Spurs whipped the Memphis Grizzlies 105-83 in Game 1 of the NBA’s Western Conference finals. Kawhi (kah-WY’) Leonard added 18 points for the Spurs, who shot 53 percent from the field and set a team playoff record by draining 14 three-pointers. Grizzlies All-Star Zach Randolph missed his first seven shots and scored his only points on a tip-in with 9:26 left in the game.

BOSTON (AP) – Tuukka (TOO’-kah) Rask stopped 35 shots and Johnny Boynton snapped a 2-2 tie in the second period as the Boston Bruins beat the New York Rangers 5-2 to take a two-games-to-none lead in the NHL’s Eastern Conference semifinals. Torey Krug (kroog) had a goal and an assist for the Bruins, who used a two-goal third period to take control. Rangers forward Rick Nash finally scored his first goal of the postseason after leading the team with 21 during the regular season.

OTTAWA (AP) – The Penguins have a 2-1 lead in the NHL’s Eastern Conference semifinals after goals by Daniel Alfredsson and Colin Greening allowed the Ottawa Senators to beat Pittsburgh 2-1 in double overtime. Greening scored at 7:39 of the second OT after Alfredsson provided a short-handed goal with just 29 seconds left in regulation. Craig Anderson stopped 49 shots and blanked the Pens after Tyler Kennedy scored late in the second period.

IRVING, Texas (AP) – Sang-Moon Bae has won the Byron Nelson Championship for his first PGA Tour title. The 26-year-old South Korean closed with a 1-under 69 to finish at 13-under. Keegan Bradley blew a four-stroke lead in the final round and finished two shots off the pace, three days after setting a course record with a 10-under 60.

ROME (AP) – Rafael Nadal (rah-fay-ehl nah-DAHL’) and Serena Williams are leaving Rome as the 2013 winners of the Italian Open, the last event before the start of the French Open. Nadal defeated long-time foe Roger Federer in the final, 6-1, 6-3, while Williams stopped Victoria Azarenka (ah-zah-REN’-kuh) 6-1, 6-3.
