INDIANPOLIS (AP)- The Indiana Pacers are one victory away from reaching the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since 2004. George Hill’s 26 points led the Pacers to a 93-82 win and a 3-1 series lead over the New York Knicks, who return home for Game 5 Thursday night.

NEW YORK (AP) – Robinson Cano (kuh-NOH’) hit a two-run double, Lyle Overbay delivered a tiebreaking sacrifice fly and the New York Yankees rallied after Felix Hernandez left and beat the Seattle Mariners 4-3. Hernandez tweaked his back and exited after six innings with a 3-1 lead, having outpitching CC Sabathia in the first matchup between the former Cy Young winners.

UNDATED (AP)- Pittsburgh and defending Stanley Cup champion L.A. Kings both won their opening games in their conference semifinal series last night. The Penguins routed Ottawa 4-1 while the Kings blanked San Jose 2-0 as Jonathan Quick recorded the shutout.

SAN DIEGO (AP) – San Diego Chargers outside linebacker Melvin Ingram has torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, putting his season in jeopardy. The Chargers announced that Ingram was hurt yesterday during an organized team activity practice.
