Boone STEM Students Participate in VEISHEA

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone High School STEM class has been selected to represent the Iowa Governor’s STEM initiative during VEISHEA activities at Iowa State University.  Presentations will be Saturday on the South Campanile Lawn near Memorial Union from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.  The Boone class is under the direction of Mrs. Shelly Vanyo and students will demonstrate and high light the design and engineering projects created during the exploration of wind power, hydrogen fuels, use of gear driven generators and virtual tours of energy plants and design.  The showcase will allow people to learn about STEM, the design process, STEM careers and more.
