INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Louisville shook off the gruesome image of guard Kevin Ware writhing in pain from a broken leg to roll past Duke 85-63 and into the Final Four. Ware went down in the first half and players and coaches were visibly shaken by the sight of the incident. But behind 23 points from Russ Smith, Louisville regrouped to capture the Midwest Regional title.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) – Nik Stauskas scored 22 points as Michigan led from start to finish to beat Florida 79-59 in the South Regional title game. The Wolverines are back in the Final Four for the first time since the early 1990’s.

NEW YORK (AP) – Carmelo Anthony had 24 points and 10 rebounds, and the Knicks extended their winning streak to eight games and moved closer to ending Boston’s hold on the Atlantic Division title with a 108-89 victory. It was the Knicks second win over the Celtics in a week and gave New York the season series 3-1.

DETROIT (AP) – Chicago scored on its first three shots in a 1:39 span of the first period to start a 7-1 rout of Detroit. Brandon Saad and Dave Bolland were part of the three-goal barrage and each had a pair of goals for the Blackhawks.

UNDATED (AP) – A dozen games are set for Monday as the Major League Baseball season gets into full swing. Among those in action is star pitchers Justin Verlander who takes the mound for defending American League champ Detroit at Minnesota. Freezing temperatures are expected for that one at Target Field.
