OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – The Oklahoma City Thunder won their 15th straight game against a Western Conference opponent by routing Golden State 119-98 behind Kevin Durant’s 25 points. The Warriors were playing the second night of a back-to-back and didn’t get settled in Oklahoma City until nearly daybreak yesterday, and it showed.

MIAMI (AP) – LeBron James scored 32 points, Dwyane (dwayn) Wade added 31 points and eight assists, and the Miami Heat held off the Houston Rockets 114-108. The Heat improved to 20-3 at home.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) – Pau Gasol (pow gah-SOHL’) was diagnosed with a torn plantar fascia in his right foot yesterday. The L.A. Lakers forward is sidelined indefinitely and the 7-foot Spaniard will fly to Los Angeles today to be examined by a foot specialist and could be out four to six weeks.

SAN PEDRO SULA, Honduras (AP) – Team USA’s road to next year’s World Cup got a little tougher after the Americans lost 2-1 in Honduras in the opener of the final qualifying round for the 2014 tourney. Clint Dempsey scored for the U.S. but Jerry Bengston took advantage of a defensive mix-up to score the go-ahead goal in the 79th minute for the host Hondurans.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) – Big night for Larry Bird’s alma mater last night. Jake Odum scored 22 points and R.J. Mahurin added 17 to help the unranked Indiana State Sycamores pull off a stunningly easy 76-57 win over No. 16 Creighton (KRAY’-tuhn) for the 1,400th victory in Indiana State history.
