ATLANTA (AP) – Atlanta is back in the NFC Championship game. The Falcons earned a spot in next Sunday’s game against San Francisco with an exciting 30-28 win over Seattle yesterday. Matt Bryant kicked the game winning 49-yard field goal with eight seconds left to give the Falcons the win in front of their own fans.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) – Tom Brady became the winningest post season quarterback in NFL history yesterday as his Patriots beat Houston 41-28. Brady, who passed for three scores, has won 17 playoff games.

UNDATED (AP) – A new Associated Press basketball poll will be coming out later today and it is anybody’s guess who will be No. 1. Last week’s top team, Duke, lost two days ago, while No. 2 Michigan was stopped by Ohio State yesterday 56-53.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Former Baltimore head coach Brian Billick has reportedly been interviewed by the Philadelphia Eagles, a person familiar with the meeting told The Associated Press. Billick, who led Baltimore to a Super Bowl title in the 2000 season, has been working with Fox television.

HONOLULU (AP) – Russell Henley of the U.S., a rookie on the PGA Tour, won the Sony Open yesterday. He finished in fine fashion with a final round 7-under-63. He finished 24 shots under par, three shots in front of Tim Clark.
