BOONE, Iowa—At this time of the year, the Iowa Arboretum has traditionally hosted “Homegrown Holidays” featuring Christmas Trees grown in Iowa and decorated in various themes by a number of local garden groups and organizations. This year is no different. The “Homegrown Holidays” will continue through December 24th free of charge to Arboretum visitors. The trees are on display in the Hughes Center, which is open weekdays from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM, Saturdays from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM and Sundays from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM. One of the displays is called the “Arboretum Tree Train”. The Arboretum also features a gift shop for holiday purchases.
