High School Ground Breaking Thursday Morning

BOONE, Iowa—Finally, the formal ground breaking ceremony for the $20 million Boone High School Project will be held Thursday morning at 8:15 in the park east of the High School Auditorium.  The event will feature a variety of speakers, including Student Council President Jaelynn Burkamper, School Board President Dr. Jeff Anderson, Don Romig, Chair of the Bond Committee, Kurt Phillips, Executive Director of the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce, Shari Gillespie, Boone Mayor Pro-Tem and Boone School Superintendent Dr. Brad Manard.  The ground breaking will be for the new addition of class rooms that need to be completed to allow for the demolition of the older portions of the High School.  The public is welcome to attend.
