BOONE, Iowa—The Boone Area Chamber of Commerce and the Convention and Visitors Bureau have receive a $750 grant from the Central Iowa Tourism Region Promotion Grant Program.  The grant will be used for the Family Fun Brochure that has been developed to promote tourism in Boone County.  Ann Vogelbacher is the CITR Executive Director and said the grants are competitive and do require a cash match to help leverage local funds for tourism promotion.  Chamber Executive Director Kurt Phillips said the Family Fun Brochure was the culmination of more than nine months of work and development by the CVB Committee.  He said the brochure will be distributed in Iowa, the Midwest and by request throughout the country to promote tourism in Boone County.
