DES MOINES, Iowa—This week, House Speaker Kraig Paulsen (R-Hiawatha) appointed Rep. Chip Baltimore (R-Boone) chair of the House Judiciary Committee. Paulsen says “Rep. Baltimore is a proven leader with a great deal of knowledge and insight on issues relevant to the Judiciary committee.” Baltimore serves as in-house counsel, Vice President and Trust Officer at Boone Bank and Trust. He was elected in November to his second term in the Iowa House. Baltimore says “It is an honor to serve as chair of the House Judiciary Committee. I look forward to working with all members of the committee to solve tough challenges facing Iowans so our state can move forward.” The Legislature convenes January 14, 2013.
