Adult Volunteers Among Those Honored During 4H Awards Day

BOONE, Iowa—Adult 4-H Volunteers were among those recognized during the annual 4-H Awards Day, Sunday at the Community Building at the Boone County Fairgrounds.  Larry and Sandy Seeman were presented the 4-H Alumni Award.  The Friend of 4-H Award was presented to Jim Anderson of Boone.  Anderson is also a 4-H Alumni and has served on the Boone County Extension Council since 1988.  The Meritorious Service to 4-H Award went to US Bank of Boone.  As usual, the highlight of the Adult Volunteer Awards is the Fran Thompson Memorial Outstanding Leader Award and the 2012 recipient is Mona Satre of Ogden.  Satre has been involved in leadership and organizing the Aerospace Interest Club.  Several other adults were recognized during the Awards Day for their years of service to the youth of Boone County.
