Posted on 15 October 2012 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Auditor Phil Meier has scheduled a series of satellite voting opportunities this week.  The focus will be some of the nursing homes in Boone County.  Tuesday, satellite voting will be offered at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone, on Wednesday at the Madrid Home in Madrid and on Thursday, back in Boone at West Haven Community.  The satellite polling place will be open from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM.

A satellite polling location is a complete polling place for any voter in Boone County.  Just like the polling location in the first floor conference room at the Boone County Courthouse, ballots for each precinct in the county is available.  All voter registration matters can also be addressed.  The only difference are the hours and days, at the Courthouse, voting is available from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday ending on November 5th.  The Auditors office at the Courthouse will also be open on the last two Saturdays before the election, October 27th and November 3rd.

Meier says additional satellite locations will be available next week.  Voters may also request and absentee ballot by mail by sending the request form to the Boone County Auditor’s Office, 201 State Street, Boone, IA  50036.
