Boone traveled to unbeaten Grinnell and the Toreadors struck first
with a 5-yard touchdown pass from Dusty Moran to Alex Davis.
A fake punt and 2-point conversion put the Tigers up by one after the first quarter.
Boone scored in the second period with a 1-yard dive by Jonny Mack,
but Grinnell answered with two t-ds to lead by eight at halftime.
Fourteen seconds into the third quarter, Austin Dahl had a pick six.
Then the game was delayed about ninety minutes for lighting.
All the Toreadors could manage the rest of the way
was a 10-yard touchdown rumble by Mack in the fourth period
and Grinnell held on for a 39 – 29 victory. 6 – 2 Boone will celebrate Senior Night
against Dallas Center Grimes, who blanked Ballard, 3 – 0.
